Found a Coke bottle yesterday in an old home site dump, my first find by the way, and I'm wondering if anyone can give a rough date for it.

The bottle is clear and embossed w/ coke on one side and coca-cola on the other below this on both sides it's marked 10 fl oz. On the neck it is marked no refill on both sides, on the bottom is no refill, LG-959 and Cl 81
Thanks for your time and input, CC

Pics might help. Personally though, I'm gonna say your bottle was produced in '59.
Anybody disagree? I'm just going by what I've figured out about these things....

I'm thinking it is a lot later then 59... He really needs to post a pic.. we need to see the shape of bottle .. someone who has no clue about bottles can not describe a bottles shape accurately... If it's not Hobbleskirt I am very sure it's not 1959.. I also don't think they put coke on the bottle back then i also would think Clear wouldn't be a color for that era.... to help out a lil look here

I am thinking late 70's early 80's

Yeah... I should probably pay attention when I'm reading something I just assumed :P. I think your right about 70's 80's. I think your right about the name coke not being on the older ones. As far as colour goes, I think it depended on where they were produced. I also think the fact it's 10oz and not 6 is a clue to it being in the range you give.

I didn't think they were making "no refill" bottles in the 50s. I lean toward the early 70s, but I don't really know.
