:laughing9::3coins: I couldn"t believe my eyes. I looked in the coinstar reject bin at the local supermarket and there was a bunch of coins (all American) in it. I scooped them up and went on my way. When I checked them out later it was $4.04 (16 quarters & 4 cents). Of the 16 quarters 12 were clad but 4 were silver Washingtons! The 4 silver were: 1/52, 2/64 & 1/64D.

Why do some coins get rejected?
Silver coins are heavier so they don't go through. I bet that a few coins get rejected because the system probably can't reject just a single coin as they pass through there, so a coin in front or behind a bad one gets rejected too.
