I do I do... it's a great way to gamble. :)
The best is when you see those people at the lottery ticket machine next to the Coin Star feverishly scratching away at their tickets completely oblivious to the totally coin-choked change return slot full of silver right under their noses as you walk by and casually grab the lot 😎

Yes, I have had that happen... they leave kind of quickly... :)

You always walk out usually with more than you came in with.
I often pass by to take a peek but most of the time it’s empty

Thanks Billb,
I did have a dryspell...I wonder if it had something to do with the hot humid weather around here...what I am noticing is that sometimes the coins are sort of hidden so I run my hand along the top tray and in the reject bin...keep trying!

After being mostly skunked at the coinstars the last 15-20 attempts my two attempts today garnered some clad and one silver....a 51 Roosevelt dime, one I didn't have, so the dryspell has ended ironically with a good downpour of rain here as well. Thanks for viewing!
Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

This is sweet! i just got back into metal detecting after a few years lapse. Now whats the deal on this form of treasure hunting? U just reach up under there, and feel if anything is stuck on the magnet? I love stuff like this, my father introduced me to this sorta poor mans treasure hunting. (no investment required ) back in the 70s when i was a young boy and we were in a restaurant and he told me to go and reach and feel in the coin return slot of the 3 pay phones on the wall, i got a dime out one of them and was stoked, I always remember him when i do it now,(only vending machines now though you rarely see a pay phone nowdays. I do it at work every chance in the break room, and out of the few vening machines we have, i do pretty well, the old coffee machine occasionly yields silver dimes and quarters since it only accepts older change. the odds are better i guess. The other day i got 3 quarters and 2 dimes in one pass. I yelled "I'm making out like a bandit"!" and everybody in there laughed there asses off! lol

Of course this is considered being cheap by some people . F those guys! No different than the looks you may occasionally get metal detecting a public park. lol Those guys are missing some fun!

I salute you COINSTAR MAGNET!

Thanks RabbitHollow...
All I do is check below in the reject bin... coins poured in that are foreign or silver end up there...so it's alittle like checking the vending machines...I try to be discreet. :)
