My mother turned me on to this. I was helping her one day planting and she had some bulbs to plant. She got out this widget, I looked at it and thought hey this would be great for Metal Detecting, especially for coin shooting. What she had was a Bulb planter and it makes perfect holes in the ground for dropping bulbs into. I thought of the many times I had cut a flap or dug a plug to find a coin, now all I had to do was figure the approximate location, push the Bulb planter in and remove the plug and use the pin pointer to find it, put the plug back in, easy!!! She told me they had ones with a long handle so you could stay standing up, they sell them at any good garden shop or garden section of the local store!!!

Yeah, I bought this one. Problem is that it kills the grass in the plug. If you use this on a lawn, you will not be invited back.

Every tool has its place, I use a plugger in unmanicured, dirt spots, Jhar.

i have been using one this for a long time, I make em.

problem with the blub planter is it is cone shape, so when you put ur plug back in the lawn their is air around the plug

with mine, you rough up the hole you made pulling out the plug, then place the plug back in and step down with your heal

and i go back to the same parks all the time never seen one dry out
