That button is a killer find! Pretty nice LC as well. Great hunt all around

Went back to the site I was at last weekend & snagged a few more coins and relics.

1835 LC, 16, 18 & 23 Wheaties & a no date Buffalo as well as this cool NY Municipal Police Coat Button (1860-70)

Spoon was laying on top of the ground as well as the eye glass lens.

Anybody know what these 2 pointy things are?

HH,
Roger

Nice digs, that cellar pit looks familiar. .anyhow, I would love to get an old NYC metropolitan police button/badge

*see NYC Metro./Municipal police battles pre/post Tammany Hall. .its good reading..straight out of gangs of ny

I found that same button 6" down in a old NYC park a few weeks ago.The Municipal Police were disbanded by NYS legislature in 1857 for political corruption,so the button is no older than that.Sweet find,I was pleased when I found mine.

Very nice findings there, congrats !!

Wonderful stuff!

Those two pointy things remind me of old-fashioned nutcrackers or nut pickers... used to see 'em standing up in the center of a wooden bowl?

Like these...

Those two pointy things could be those things that women would stick in their hair to keep it up..just a guess since hair on my end is in short supply. .

Nice digs and thanks for the pictures

nice finds.that is a nice looking site.

Loos like you have a great place to MD along with those saves! WTG

Does that Lady Franklin No. 2 "plaque" have something to do with, or in reference to, the Lady Franklin Bay Expedition of 1881-1884?

Or, is it in reference to the second wife of explorer John Franklin?

If so for either then I am nominating this for banner; but first more research is necesarry.

Thanks! I'm 99% sure that is just the Model # for the face plate to a wood stove. Been looking for any info but coming up with nada. It's in good shape and I'm sure American Pickers would love to have it.
