Coins from Saturdays hunt.? I found 173 coins total, 18 are shown in the bottom pic, total 35.05 Euros worth.? I only dug a few low tones at this site as I knew they would be those crusty 10 Pfenning coins, they deteriorate until there is only two thin pieces of brass foil left.? Also found two foreign coins there, an American Penny and Nickel, LOL!? HH, Mike

Wow! Nice pile of loot. How much are cheeseburgers up to in Bavaria these days?

When I saw the first picture, I, too, thought you had found a gold casche! That's a big pile of coins for just one days hunt! HH...

Nice load a coins!

Where were you hunting? In a cash register? ;D

WOW!

In dollars it's about $45.00. Hunted near a church where the kids block the road of the newly wed couples, it's a German tradition. The kids block the road until the newly weds throw coins out the window to them which usually end up in the grassy area along the sides of the road. The kids don't recover a lot, then I come along, LOL! I have a few of these sites that replenish themselves over the summer months. I prefer relic hunting but it's hard to pass up guarenteed beer and battery money! Great exercise too! Cheeseburgers at McDonalds are on sale for $1.20. HH, Mike

Geez! That's a weeks worth of cheeseburgers. Gotta find more churches, eh?!?

wow! how long did it take you??? It looks like those euros are'nt that worn, so i bet you found them on the surface of the ground. ???

Euros only came along about 2 years ago, ... It will be interesting to see how they hold up in the ground after a few years. Speaking of which, in my wife's village in Germany there is a field where a HUGE festival is held every summer and a few other smaller ones every year. I don't know if they have always used this field, but the village is 700 years old. And my wife's mom is the mayor! I can't wait to get over there!

I'm headed for europe to dress like a kid and hold up some newly weds! ;D

I thought Stack of Gold Coins when I first saw that also. Very Cool
