Coins, and other relics

These are some of the coins I've found. Has three large cents. Don't understand why the punched out the head on the coins. Also there's one with a square hole punched in it. The two punched coins we located about a 150 yds. apart.

maybe the coins were nailed up on something.

The two coins that were punched has 14 punches in each that didn't go all the was through. The just punched the face of the coins.

The punched coins are weird. I've never seen any punched like that before?
Maybe an old cowboy (gunfighter) was keeping track of his kills and 14 is as far as he got...
