Instead of posting a bunch of "What is it" posts ill keep them all here. first group is Coins. 1809 U.S. Half cent stamped with J B 3 Who is jb3?

Second coin i see some letters and Roman numerals with a Star Pattern??? Any ideas?

Coins 3 and 4 Toast?? I see a profile looking left thats about it


Buttons.... Lots of them any ideas? some brass some copper some have designs. I used a Nickel for size reference. I picked these up in Albany N.Y. In your bottom two left side photos, the rusty looking one with the circles in the center is a shotgun shell headstamp. The rest is really cool. Wish I could have a hunt like that.

You have a French 6 Denier (1710-1712) And what looks like a George II Halfpenny... think early head 1729-1739.

If anyone would like these buttons for free just send me a msg and ill give you my address you can send me a pre paid envelope and ill mail them to you. I'm not a button guy and these will probably go in the trash if no one wants them.

Other than it is on a coin, the one stamped JB 3 looks like a picker check. Where did you find it? (not exactly where, just general area-state/county)

Look at my thread below "ID token ID" Marked solved. I posted a little description yesterday about it. Basically a token given to pickers of vegs and fruits denoting how much they picked. These were later turned in for cash. Could also be used in some local stores for supplies, food etc. Easier to do than writing stuff down, allowed the workers to keep track. If they lost them, too bad. Small denomination coins scarce and the checks cheap ( $5-7 for 1000 of them). They were used in the 10's of thousands. Possible but of course JB might have had other reasons....
