COIN?

I found this today at an old farm site in some marl about 5" down. At first I thought it was just a piece of metal but after cleaning it, I think it may be a coin.
It has a rim to it and its round despite being bent. Here are the details.

diameter = 7/8 inch
weight = 3.0 grams
Whites V3I VDI = 67

Any help would be appreciated as always.
