Coin?

Hello, I found this coin/token today! It appears to be made of Pewter

It looks like a blank disc, but you can see writing on it. It's 28mm across and between 2 and 3mm thick!

Any ideas?

The letters I can make out are LLE I think and they look more like letters round a coin!

Looks like a C,G or O about 2-3 letters before the LLE.

Seeing as they made tokens out of pewter, that must be what it is

Don't think we'll be finding many leather ones though

That would be more likely with the size and thickness

Seems very thick. My first guesses if a coin would be some type of counterfeit, or possibly a Tin Halfpenny. Usually they have pretty clear evidence of a square plug in the middle. There's not many halfpenny size so easy to rule out and is a long shot anyway. Could be tough to ID that.

I think being that thick makes me think something other than a coin but in this hobby you never know.
