Coin tumbler

Thanks Sherm.

Be careful with the Harbor Freight tumblers. They're great bang-for-the-buck, but:

1) get a supply of medium weight rubber bands to replace the belt with, as it will fail within the 1st 100 hours use (or so)

2) Don't leave it running unattended. We had one burst into flames. (My wife has worn out several of these tumbling rocks)

There's no doubt Harbor has a great low price. Sometimes they run specials on these for like $20. They're made in China and, like stated above, have their issues.

The brand name tumblers start at about $75 and are usually far more trustworthy.

About 8 years ago I found a small Lortone at a garage sale for $3. I've never replaced the belt and I've done many thousands of coins and relics in it.

You could start with the cheapo and if does what you want you could later on move up to a quality unit.

Thanks for the heads up.
