Minelab Sov. Elite 5", 8" & 10" coils. EXP II 8" & 10" coils with inline Sunray pin pointer. AT Pro 8" & 10" Coils, Equinox 600 10" and 5" coils.
Need some help with this one, and I know this is the place to get it ;D
Slightly larger than a quarter
Copper or Bronze
It appears to have the number "1321"
I can definitely make out the "#321"
The first number I can't read, but looks to be a "1" also
The third pic is a close up of the numbers
2nd pic is the back, not much there
The numbers are much largerer than you would think
Thanks again

Tim

arabic coins tend to have designs rather than figures -- as figures are sort of a a no no under their religion, the "offset" between arabic dates and ours is about roughly 580 years --- they use a differant start date -- we use the birth of christ as our starting point time wise (bc means before christ birth -- ad = after his birth)--- they use their fellow's date.

Not quite: AD is short for 'Anno Domini': "In the year of the/our Lord", that starts with Christ's birth year. Otherwise, how would you date a coin (BC or AD) minted in (say) the 10th year of Christ's life?

Also, a quick way to convert Islamic to Gregorian dates is to take the Islamic date and multiply it by 97%; then add 622.

good IDing --- 1321 (AH ) IN ARABIC DATING IS EQUAL TO 1901 IN "NON ARABIC" TIME .-- USE THE 580 RULE type in "arabic coin 1321" in the aol search engine --- there is a "chart" at one of the sites ---that shows what the date would looklike written in arabic script and what "english" date its equal to. --- Ivan

BTW, Justgeese's pic coin was minted in Paris, France; one of four mints for this coin; the others being, Birmingham, England; Fes, Morocco; and Berlin, Germany. I cannot discern the mintmark in the first set of pics; perhaps someone else can.
