It's pretty toasted, but, some detail still remains. I couldn't see anything until I started cleaning it. It's 19mm (3/4") in diameter which is the size of a U.S. cent. It was found in a field where other old coins have been found. The obverse has the profile of two people wearing crowns. I can see a little lettering around the rim. At the 8 o'clock position I can make out an AN. At 10-11 o'clock GEORGE. At the 3 o'clock position it looks like MARY. There are letters before and after some of these, but, I can make out for sure what they are. On the Reverse, it has a heart shaped shield in the middle with the bottom point almost touching the rim. To the right and left of the heart is a branch with leaves. In the center of the heart there are some lines of letters, but, they're hard to make out for sure. There may be a date at the very bottom but, that not definite. There may be a 4 on that line. The next line up might have an O left of center and an H or M right of center. The next line up appears to have an O right of center. Toward the top still inside the heart, there looks to be an IOS Or TOS. Above the heart is a symbol that might be a crown. My first thought was British, but, I haven't been able to find a match. Anyone recognize it?
