Brought $1K with me to the coin shop today with plans to buy seven 10-oz. bars and maybe some rounds with what was left over. I called earlier in the week to see if they had some in stock and they gave me their usual "Sure, plenty!" Got there and the place was bi-zee! So I shopped for some supplies and finally asked for some Engelhards. Guess what...all out!!! >:( Sold all they had yesterday and they don't know when they'll get more. They were priced great too, $134 each.
They had some 100-ozers but I didn't bring enough $$$

If silver surges before next weekend I'll scream! I can only visit on Saturdays so hopefully the price will go down more by then.

The casino was at least a good source for silver. Out of $100 in nickels I got a 1942-S and a 1943-P.

Sweet job on the nickels! Nabbed 2 silvers as well from my last $150 in handrolls. I FINALLY finished them like 2 hours ago... so NO MORE CRH for me! I'm done for the year. Looks like you will win our nickel race, because I am pretty sure I didn't get anymore of the 7 I need out of this batch. I know I saw a 1950 no D in there which is cool, but I don't need it. Still a few stacks of pre-60's I pulled out I need to go through for specific dates, but I know there are no 38's or 39's in there as well as no war nics, which is like 6 of the 7 I need right there, lol.

And sorry about the silver. You are HARDLY alone on that one though. $134 is nice for a 10oz as well... too bad. =( You still have next week. At least you have a dealer who is willing to sell at such low prices. Even fee-bay is keeping silver at like $16-17 an ounce, and most dealers simply won't sell. Gotta love the obvious silver shortage and the rediculous joke of 12.70 an ounce when NO ONE sells for that... thus making "spot price" a complete and utter joke... a total fallacy.

That's right-
Uneducated people sell to dealers for $11.50 all day! ;D

The day that becomes true is the day I buy a lot of nicely priced silver Tim. =)

I've called EVERY reputable dealer in my state multiple times over the past week, and NONE of them report ANY panick selling and therefore with their logic that THEY paid $17 when it was high... that they can't sell it for less than that and therefore... they don't sell it at all.
