coin or tolken?

I found this in a washed out stream, it say's army,18??,is the size of a penny,
under army it say's NEW YORK, found in the Catskill Mtns-upstate.

Is there wording around the outside of the coin? It looks like above the Army at around 11 O clock I see an A....
