This is the best of this mornings finds. Moved away from the junk patch, so less noise, thank god !!!. Two more hammered coins, my hammered fields are coming in to play now, so get ready to see some. First hammered a nice Henry III, voided long cross penny. Made by the moneyer Gilbert, in Canterbury 1247-72. The second hammered, a penny issued by Archbishop Neville in York 1461-83, in the name of king Edward IV. In medieval times the catholic church in England, had the right to mint coins in the kings name. Many of these coins were very poor quality.
