Got a coin. Weight - 5.5 grams., diameter - 24 mm, the material - bronze or brass. The obverse inscription in a circle - GEORGIVS D: G MA?? FHR The reverse has the royal shield and the motto - DIEV ET MON DROIT. Obverse - Reverse turn 180. So I understand that this coin is the time of George I, 1714-1727. The problem is that I can not find a description of this coin in catalogs. Appreciate any help! 602410.jpg

DIEV(U) ET MON DROIT refers to the devine right of the British Monarch to govern. Literally, it means "God and my right."
Don.......

Thank you for information! It's interesting.

Looks like a jeton, and Nuremberg might be a good place to start.

Yep, Iron Patch is right, this isn't official coinage, but is a jeton, or counting piece/gaming token and are rather common but notoriously hard to find the exact variety see: Galata - Coins for Sale for a similar coin.

As for value, its not going to be much due to the fact its damaged and the fact jetons have fewer collectors than regal coinage. It certainly is an unusual piece and you might not ever come across another piece like it.
