On the side with the horse, it says "READER'S DIGEST - SELEZIONE DAL" its marked 800, so i know its silver. Possibly a sweepstakes coin.?

I think it is a sweepstakes token from the Italian Readers Digest. It could date anywhere after 1948. However, a brief search failed to turn up a token like yours.
