I got this as a gift from an attendee at a convention I was working. He just handed it to me as a thank you for all my work over the weekend.
I have no idea what it is. Old Abe is there for scale purposes. I don't have a bud scale so I cannot get a good weight for it.
If it's a fake, that's ok, I think it's cool and I still like it :-)

Hey fakes are cool as well.

And the best part... if you loose it its not a big deal :)

IMO this is what you have... a fake / a copy.

Noticed this is your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard Sysyphus! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

Ah, I am in Los Angeles, California, USA. I figured it's probably a replica, but it's still pretty neat looking and was nice of the guy to gift it to me.
Like I said I paid exactly $0.00 for it, so it's not like I got burned on eBay or something :-)

It may not be a decent monetary gift, but I would have been thrilled to get such a coin as a tip!! ...Unless I already had one. :tongue3:

Greetings from Minnesota. :hello:
