I got a phone call from a bank manager here not too long ago saying she want to sell her coin collection. She had a lot of coins and wanted to get rid of them. To be honest I figured $100 to $200 a Face for some reason just because she said she's been collecting them for a long time. Turns out she had about $10 Face value. Luckily there was two key date coins one being in 1932D quarter. The other being a 1904S Morgan in really nice condition.
I did not know the dates of the coins actually did not even look at them until I got home. Except for the Morgan's.
Okay so to make this quick. She said she's going to have to take her jewelry to the pawnshop because she has nowhere else to take it. So I told her she can if she wants to but I'll pay her 85% of the gold value. So she still has to go to her safe deposit box but this is what I got today. Spent $1823.
I absolutely love the lobstering. I think it's so cool looking!
Then another 40 random pieces of costume jewelry and some old two and five dollar red seal notes. So that should keep me busy for a while. She also has these for sale to but I don't know what to do with them?
And also a lot of uncut stones. Lots and lots of them amethyst, jade, just about anything. tons of it. From the size of a quarter to the size of a basketball. I will be on the rocks/ minerals thread probably for the next three months.
