From green to clean in 1-10 seconds!
Any body using Sno Bol to clean their coins?
Cleans crud covered coins amazingly quick!
If you are not familiar with this method please keep this in mind.
Do not clean your pennies with any other coins such as dimes, nickels, or quarters or you will have red coins!!!
Separate copper coins from your silvers and clean like with like.
You may also want to look through your coins prior to cleaning them to insure you're not going to damage any collect able old silver, or wheat pennies ect..
I'd recommend for your first time testing one coin by placing it into a small plastic Tupperware container and giving a small squirt of Sno Bol over it. In most cases you will see for example a greenie quarter turn silver on contact in 1 second.
I only soak them in Sno Bol for about 5 seconds sometimes 10 for stubborn coins while kind of shaking them gently to evenly cover each coin.
You don't need much at all maybe tablespoonful to say 7 coins.
Now onto pennies.
When soaking pennies which I feel I have to on some occasions for a few minutes to a half an hour you will notice they tend to foam up pretty good and give off a stench of like a rotten egg smell!
I've also found it great for cleaning (FAKE) jewelry by giving it a quick 1-2 second dip then rinsing it immediately. It may appear that it is stripping the plating off and it may or may not be but for sure if there is any wear on the item and copper is exposed to the naked eye and you missed it, you will soon be made aware by a bright reddish color on your gold plated ring for example.
I have not tried it on Silver, white Gold, Yellow Gold or platinum and don't know that I'm brave enough!
Another thing to consider is coins such as dimes, nicked, and quarters tend to clean up a whitish silver color almost like if it had been sand blasted or something of the like.
Haven't had to tumble clad since and it's been a lot quieter lately.
PLEASE NOTE:
This stuff is made for cleaning toilet bowls but it is pretty potent stuff so please read precautions on the back of the bottle before use!!
If I'm not mistaken if in your eyes you most likely will be blinded!
If in contact with your skin it is harmfull!!
No severe odors that I'm aware of until you soak your pennies!
Just straight Sno Bol and coins nothing else needed!
P.S. This stuff works great on toilets too!! Lol!
