Agreed. WTF?????????????
I know what your up to.

It's illegal guys.
And NO!
We wont sell spare parts for machines or coils.

Thats a NO No..... ???

What is illegal H-4??? can you expane H-4??? I think its not epoxy Filled, but I am not sure, little Joe not epoxy filled.

It would only be illegal if the design was copied and sold. If I buy something, it mine to do with as I wish.

dingdong, what is wrong with capitalism? If new equipment weren't sold, you wouldn't be buying used or any other kind of equipment. No profit potential, no reaearch, design and developement.

Yes GibH, but where is connection with my question about WOT costruction? If I know more like consumer, I can make better decision and can see clear different between the products. its look like metal detecting industry still under big secrecy? we consumers know more about computers which are much more complicated things then about simple metal detectors and coils!

Why don't you write Coiltec about the construction of their coils. You sound like the type that likes to take ma's alarm clock apart to see what makes it tick. Just like I did but I got a spanking.

I think what you are trying to do is illegal in the sense the FCC regulates the frequencies objects (metal detectors) can use. Modifying the coil can "hop it up" but at the cost of making the detector more unstable without further mods to the guts of the machine. But there are people that do this for a hobby too.

Thanks Sandman, my inquiry was mostly connected with question of weight design WOT.
