Coils cover...are they worth it and why?

Welcome to the forum! I think for as cheap as they are they're definitly worth it. It helps protect the bottom of your coil from damage from rocks, debris, wear from skimming sand at the beach, etc. Definitly don't want to get any kind of hole in your coil. Just my 2 cents.

Fairly simple. Yes-well worth the cost. Consider this, wear a hole in the coil and replace the coil $80 +, wear a hole in a coil cover and replace the cover $8 +. You decide. BTW Welcome and HH.

Depends on where you hunt. I hunt mostly yards and parks so I don't really need coil covers. If you detect sandy or rocky areas coil covers would be a good investment.

Definitly a must!! A time or two i've found cuts on my coil covers that were half the thickness of the cover. You don't always feel it, when a sharp edge of glass cuts it. Without a cover, one return pass could finish the job, and leave you sitting on a rock a 100 miles in the mountains wondering why you're machines acting up. A coil cover takes nothing away from your depth, and at the right or wrong time would be very cost effective.
Now will you please just go down and get the dadblamed coil cover, before we have to read about how much your new coil cost you!!
This really should be a non issue. HH
