Coil ?

I don't suppose there is any chance that the 4" BH coil will work on the Older Fisher F5? Does anyone know if the pin pattern on the plugs are the same. Has anyone tried it on there F5. Any help appreciated as it seems to be impossible to find one of the older style 5" coils for the F5 with the plug in connector instead of the screw in type. Thanks for any info.

I am an authorized Fisher/Teknetics dealer, but a definitive answer is beyond me. Do you know the operating frequency of the BH? If it is not in the 7.8kHz range of the F5, I would say that it would not work. If it is, there might be a chance. Best bet would be to call or email First Texas. BTW - how do you like your Eurotek? I may give one to my wife. She doesn't MD. Says that is my thing, not hers! But I am going to get her to test one this weekend and see how beginner friendly it is.

I never even used it. I traded it for a new Garrett Pro Pointer.
