Found at a house built in 1914. When it was dug I almost threw it away. So crusted and rusty looked like a piece of household junk. Curiosity got the better of me so took it home and did a little cleaning before deciding it may be something interesting and put it in electrolysis for 6 hours (three 2 hour treatments).
What has me stumped is method of attachment. What would it have gone through and left almost two inches sticking out?
Any ideas on age would be appreciated also.
Thanks for looking!!
