Hey MD, does this have a clutch material (ceramic or organic brake pad looking)? I used to be the service manager at a Mack truck dealership and this looks as if it is a two piece clutch brake.... The two tabs ride down the trans input shaft and when you push in on the clutch it rides against the clutch housing.... Is the metal very thick?

here is an example...

LETS VOTE! I agree with the Captain that the construction is VERY similar, but from what I can see it does appear to have a clutch/brake lining on it, so I'm agreeing with Iwearpro (welcome, by the way!). My computer didn't like the link showing the clutch, but then again my computer doesn't like ME, so it's obviously not a very good judge of character. But seriously, I spent some time in truck repair as well and I believe thats correct.

Yes it has or had some sort of friction lining on it. It is heavy about 3/8" thick. It was found in a parking lot frequented by truck drivers. Those are awesome links you guys posted. There's some decent knowledge on here!
