This big clump is the size of two basketballs and very heavy. One side looks like it's melted from intense heat and many small pebbles or stones are stuck to it and maybe inside as well.
I don't see any metal and it's not magnetic. I found this in Vietnam about 4 hours north of Saigon near the beach by a tree line.

It looks like some kind of lava to me, but the lava I have handled were light weight, so not sure.

My knowledge of rock specimens is limited, but I'll take a wag at it
anyway...

How about "Beach Schist"?

"They cover large areas between 4000 and 6000 m below the ocean's surface. The polymetallic nodules contain mainly nickel, copper, cobalt, and manganese.
The manganese crusts include primarily manganese, copper, vanadium, molybdenum, and platinum."

I had to look that up! :laughing7:

I don't know, you'll need a chemical analysis to know for sure. Don't lick it!

It was too heavy to lift and put on my motorbike so it's still there I guess. If I go back that way again I'll try to flip it over and get another pic.
