:icon_scratch: While in a river cooling off yesterday we found 2 items of interest and need help. Single picture pc looks like it may have come from a wagon it is iron an had about 2 inches of rust covering it. It is about 4 inches long and the hole was countersunk. sorry no reference in picture. The second Item with 2 pictures showing front and back, is copper or brass, about 3 inches long and 1-1/2 in wide. Lets see if I can get the pictures in here now.

The piece marked US is a belt buckle from the Spanish-American War era.

The other piece is a latch of some sort, but it might be difficult to definitively identify.

Thank you creskol, you certainly solved that one for me. I would never have guessed it to be a belt buckle. Maybe a keepr for a leather strap or something like that.
