The item on the left was found in a MS farm field while looking for arrowheads last winter. At first I thought it was Native American, being it has a "worked" appearance to it. But the more I examined it, I realized that it was perfectly cylindrical at one point in time, and had a small piece of metal sticking out on one end. Then, last summer, I found the center piece while metal detecting in an old pasture in MN. By comparison, it's still in really good shape, whatever it is. Then, about a month ago my daughter found the small one on the right. Again it was in a farm field in MS. Any idea what these are? I was assuming they are farm equipment related, but I have shown them to two farmers, and they can't identify them. They are quite light, and almost have the look and feel of graphite. They were all on the surface, and were eyeballed before being detected. Are they insulators of some sort? I'm quite sure they are common, but I can't place them. Thanks!
