The MD club I belong to had a club hunt at a site in upstate SC. The site has some CW history as well as a few foundations left from home sites. The collar button is a early one from what I can find made only from 1896 to 1903. The B is the regiment the officer was in and later became the Army Corp. of Engineers. It was tucked up tight agaist the corner stone of a foundation. The dime came from a tree close to the foundation. 1936. There were a few other Mercury dimes found and a late 1800 Barber. Even a CW SC button and a few flat buttons. Very cold to start but alot of fun.

That collar pin is a great and unique find! Definitely one of the best finds of the day.

Now I like that Button, A cool find for sure.............HH

Nice finds. You definitely did better than most at the hunt. I got two flat buttons for my time.
