Primary Interest:
Relic Hunting
Yesterday I managed to talk my 15 y/o daughter into going out CW relic hunting with me in Suffolk, VA. I've previously found a few cannon ball frags and iron whatnots so she was geared up to find some relics. I figured she would dig my targets as I continued to search (my plan - not hers, and you really can't make a teenager do something they don't want to). So we are hunting a field when she hollers to me "I just found an arrowhead". She hurried over to me and showed me her arrowhead and I couldn't believe what she held in her hand. Too bad it had been broken in half and from the look of the marks it was probably from recent dozer work in the field. Oh well. Point is 2" long with fluting almost the full 2" on one side and on the other a very short flute. Now we need to head back to the field to locate the rest of it.

Wow, too bad it wasn't whole! Great find, nonetheless. Was it her first? That would be incredible if it was.

Yep - her first! I sure hope we can find the rest of it.

Man oh man...even broken, what a find. There are MANY point hunters who have never found a Clovis. Incredible find. If you haven't yet, put this post also in the Indian artifact forum here on Treasurenet. Big time congrats on that 10,000 year old find!
