Me and a pal were on the way out of the woods from detecting an old house. I had previously found some flakes on this road bed and was watching the ground when I seen this. It’s my second Clovis and it’s broke the same way the first was. I told my friend it’s kinda like getting kissed and punched by a pretty girl at the same time. I’m fairly sure this pic will be upside down like the rest I post so if someone could straighten it that would be greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas to all!

I’ve only found one back half in the 30+ years of looking. I like that material.

Man what a heartbreaker, is that quartz ? Don’t see many made from that you gotta give us some more pics ..... I know flaking on quartz doesn’t show well in pics but is there a flute on one side ? Both sides ?

Yeah, it’s quartz. I didn’t have much time but I plan on going back and looking for the rest of it. Being on a road and quartz, I don’t have much confidence in it being there still though. It’s kinda hard to see but I think it might be fluted on one side. Here’s some more pics... penny for reference1A52B869-BD58-44ED-925A-81429813D129.jpegFCC39FA1-CCE4-4F46-9687-6778CA79FAB9.jpeg5F6517E5-5D59-47EB-9FD3-04056A4A2B83.jpeg
