I found this today with my new Bounty Hunter Discovery 3300. It seems to have a slight greenish cast and has a hole in one of the 'petals'. Do you have any idea what it is? I don't really think it's a necklace. Thank you for your help.

Maybe a charm?
From a charm bracelet.

Wouldn't think it's a charm....it's too big and heavy, but thanks for your thoughts.

I'm thinking it's likely a drawer pull escutcheon plate. :icon_scratch:
Looks to be made of pot metal or pewter.

I think you could be right! That would make sense. I'm not sure what the small hole in the one petal would be for except maybe a place to add an extra screw.

Don't think its a drawer pull... any way for back picture ? UNLESS... the back looks the same.

The reason I say it is not a drawer pull is I believe that the reverse looks identical to the front... which would eliminate this from being a pull.

Horse bridle rosette.

Wonder what the hole at about 7 o' clock was for?

That was my question, too. I really don't think it's a pendant from a necklace....too big and heavy, so the hole wouldn't be for that. I thought if it was an escutcheon, maybe that hole was for a nail for added security. But AARC made a good point....if it is an escutcheon, the back probably wouldn't look like the front (which it does.) And I know nothing about horse rosettes except for what I googled. I didn't find that they would have a hole in the middle. So I think the mystery remains. Thanks for your input.

I think this is the best idea yet! Here is one I googled. It especially looks a lot like the decorative part on each side. Thank you so much! There *were* horses on this farm back in the day.

Good idea with the spurs! These 1950’s Roy Rogers spurs seem pretty close:
