Clothes Mentor Gold!

I swung by the Clothes Mentor near my metal detecting club meeting to check out the jewelry. I searched up and down the rack with mostly junk. On the very bottom rung I saw this bracelet and immediately saw the 14 karat gold Italy stamp. It weighs 12.1grams and was $4.

That's awesome!! Whenever I go into our clothes mentor all I get is evil looks from the women in there. Like I'm some creepy guy going to check out the jewelry. Lol. That's a good score right there. That's a nice looking bracelet! Congrats on that one!

It was the same with me. I made a habit of telling them that I sell on eBay and that I am looking for anything I can make a few bucks on. Sometimes they asked me why I want to buy a particular item and I tell them get around $10-$20 bucks for it. I never lead on that I am finding gold or silver. Most of the ladies know me now since I go in around every other week. Just an FYI for some reason I only find good stuff in bracelets and Rings, nothing in necklaces or earrings.

You are in their domain - clothes and jewelry. They are either making sure you're not about snatch their purse or making sure you're not looking at what they were just looking at. If one is holding a small can on their side, it's mace. lol Just say, "I never know what to buy my mother..." and sigh. The death stare will go away and you will be safe!

Thanks for posting, JimDon! I stopped at one of the Clothes Mentor stores here after reading your post yesterday and paid $60 for two sets of Silpada jewelry (one necklace/earrings/ring, the other necklace/earrings/bracelet) that I should get at least $100 each for. Good tip.

Great find! Another line you can use is I just bought a bunch of tools so I have to get something for my wife! I've been using that one for years and it still seems to put them at ease. Good luck!
