Went to a new place today. It was built in 1941. My God the clad was so thick I dug 9 quarters, 11 dimes, a nickle, and 9 pennies in an hour and a half. Would you believe that three of the quarters and three of the dimes are 1965. But, I am going back. I only did a small section. Oh yes, three of the pennies were wheats. Can't see the dates yet. Got to be silver there. Maybe not old but silver is silver.

That sounds like a great place to hunt. I love sites loaded with clad. Always hoping there is an older layer underneath!

Sounds like a good spot to me, would love to get that much clad here and that is a good number of wheats also !!

Good luck! I haven't broken the 1965 barrier yet. I am sure you will on that site.
