Yesterday, I Hit a park that I haven't been to in a while. I came to a small valley that was more like a bowl. A great place for kids to roll in leaves in the winter. I was hitting a lot of nickel signals and finally came upon a signal that was bouncing from pull tab to nickel, to dime, and back to nickel. Since the nickels were plentiful, I decided to dig.
The first coin out was a 1934 Buffalo. Then came the 1942P War Nickel. The 3rd coin in this hole was a 1951 Silver Roosevelt Dime. Not bad.
The hunt stayed interesting with the recovery of a Red Moon Riders Challenge Coin, and a few wheat pennies.
The most interesting find was a signal that came in like a dime on my CTX. It took about 5 minutes to locate it with my Garrett Carrot.
I made out some writing around the rim or the object which had me thinking "Clipped Coin" When I got home, I broke out the Loupe.
Yep, a genuine "Clipped Clad Quarter"

Lots of targets! How are your knees? You got some silvers out of the deal so it looks like a great day! I must say, yours is the ONLY clipped clad quarter I have ever seen on here, so, that's uhhhh... something? Congrats and happy hunting!

Haha, scrappy dime! Right there next to the OD nickel! Hahaahha! Nice digs man

Steve

ATW that was a great hunt. The Buffalo looks great for being dug. Congrats on all those finds especially on the buffalo and the 2 silvers.
