cleaning a bronze coin

Anyone have a good method to clean an old bronze coin from 1777? I had to scrape a ton of stuff of the surface, but I would like to clean it up more if possible. Any suggestions?

Yeah I am going to keep the coin! hheheh.. yeah I know with my money collection back in the states, you DON"T CLEAN ANY COINS.. bec the value drops. But my bronze coin was too covered up with caked on dirt, that I couldn't read it. Thanks for the info
