I had one of those when I was a kid. My dad spent it on a cigar.

Nice find,

I see the date. They are small as it is on those coins. They aren't easy to find either.

HH Jer

I can see it too....Cleaned up pretty good considering.Congrat's and HH!!

Nice job on the nickel!

HEY POPPA 19,
I FOUND A FEW MYSELF. CONGRATS ON THE NICKLE DUDE. THINK ABOUT THE TRASH ITEMS YOU FOUND ALONG WITH THE 5 CENT PIECE. YOU SAID YOU FOUND ABOUT A DOZEN SQUARE NAILS. THE DETAIL ON THE COIN LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN DROPPED MAYBE 1868 OR 9. I BELIEVE YOU FOUND A POSSIBLE HOMESTEAD. DIG YOUR 50 VDI READINGS AND LOOK FOR BUTTONS. IF YOU GET SOME BUTTONS ,I THINK YOU HIT A LITTLE HOTSPOT........BEST WISHES, PACO

THANKS KIRK,
I GET PRETTY LUCKY FINDING THOSE UNWRITTEN COLONIAL SITES.
THE HARDEST PART IS GETTING THE PERMISSION. WHICH LATELY HAS COME FAIRLY EASY..........PACO

If I found one, I wouldn't know what the hell it was w/o looking it up.

Outstanding find! Maybe a few months in olive oil will help it, mine are all bathing now.
