Thank's for looking

***This is about all I'll do on this piece.Turned out OK but it did lose some like I thought.Thank's for looking  ***

Nice lockplate Joe!! Glad you got out. That's a great start for the year. After electrolysis, we might i.d. the lockplate. HH, Quindy.

Congrats Joe! Great find. Looking forward to seeing it after you cook it. I dug my first one (Springfield) last year. Ever since that time I have been digging those rusty targets. Got the buttplate last week.
Keep us posted,
Dug

Here ya go Quindy.....Lost a couple piece's but I'll take it ;D

It came out good Joe. There are CW weapons experts on Tnet and I am NOT one of them. My best guess is that plate went on a Model 1842 Springfield. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Heck, I'm still trying to i.d. the pistol bullet that I found when Dman, Josh, and I hunted today. HH, Quindy.

Great lockplate..awesome find

It really turned out nice :). Can't wait to see it on a wall in our relic room. Weather is looking good for this weekend, can't wait to get out and swing.
