Clay marble?

Found what I think might be a clay marble but I don’t really know. Opinions and knowledge welcome and appreciated. If it is a marble I am interested to know approximate age.

The picture of the fingers holding it I would guess it could be. If it has weight then it might be a musket ball.

I would date the marble by what else was found in the area. I found some in a cellar hole that looked like yours so my guess would be early to mid 1800s.
marbles have been made for hundreds of years with some dating back to roman times.

It was found at a sidewalk tear out along side coins and trash ranging from the 1930s to the 1980s. This area wasn’t really settled until the mid 1800s.

It’s unglazed and not really very round, rolls wobbly.
