Hey Everyone,
Got out with aa battery today for some long over due detecting. Having an 8 month old does not leave a lot of time for detecting lately. But if I can have days like I had today, then I dont mind waiting awhile to get out and detect.

AAs spot got disked this last week and we got a little bit of rain yesterday. So the conditions were perfect to make some great finds. And that is just what happened.

AA started off the afternoon with 2 mercs and me only having a few wheats, which AA was laughing that I was complaining about. Then I hit a nice hot spot and things were over.

Finished the day with 14 wheaties rangeing from 1912 to the 1940s, 5 mercery dimes, a 1936 buffalo nickle.
Also found a nice array of military buttons including a few rusted 13 star buttons and my first Air Force collar disk. Some bullets. And a few whats its including a token, a tag of some kind and a mitlitary pin.

The torch and semaphore flag pin/badge, has to belong to signallers ;D
What an awesome group of finds.
And good to hear aa has good company

Indeed the insignia with the flags is from the signal corps. The Army Air Corp collar disk is nice too... although it would appear that the original screw-back must have broken off.

yup i guess the airbase is gonna keep giving. My excuse is some of that stuff is deeper than my metal detector will read ::)

Wow! Awsome hunt. Congratulations!
Did you thank AA for bringing you out there? I will bet you did!
Nice hunt.

Nice little haul with a decent assortment. :)

Sometimes the "schooling" is simply luck and who happens to walk into the hot spot. Now if you found the stuff where AA had previously detected then it would be a lesson! ;D

i hate to admit this but i have been pounding this area for 2 years so i guess i got schooled. Just to show you how hot this area is i have pulled over 1,000 coins out of there mostly wheats :icon_scratch:

Conditions were just right yesterday. Also had eight months of not getting any real detecting time built up.
Really had a great time detecting with AA. Always way more enjoyable when you have a buddy to hunt with and to show cool finds to. Cant wait to get out and hunt with you again AA.

Very nice finds!!!

That base just keeps on producing!!
Love all the military items too!!
