O.K., it looks like not too many of you still have your class rings still.
How about this then. How about posting pictures of some of the class rings you've found while MDing?

Some of you may have seen the great looking class ring that Stormtrooper found the other day. Here's the link:

This got me thinking (scary) of how many of us still have our own class rings?
I thought it may be fun to post up some pictures of your own class ring so we can see the different varieties out there.
Don't worry, we won't laugh (too hard) at your age, unless your ring was carved out of stone or bone that is.

Here goes:
My ring is from LaPorte High School in Northern Indiana. As you can see, I graduated in 1978. That's about 11 years ago now. We were the "LaPorte Slicers" and our school colors were black & orange.
My ring says "Valadium" on the inside, so I guess that is a type of metal?
Valadium must be a shrinking metal too, because my ring no longer fits.

Valadium is a a fine stainless steel, used because it resembles white gold.

And I don't have a class ring, I dropped out and went on to college when I was 16.

I lost mine

It was 10K gold, black onyx stone, Maine East High School, class of '67. If anyone finds it, I'll give them a $20 reward (that's more than half it's value when I bought it) By now, it's probably buried at least 8" underground in one of the practice fields. Oh well. . .

I sold my ring and guitar to take my now wife on our first date. On our first anniversary she bought me a guitar. She still doesn't know about the ring.

But obviously it was a good investment.

You got me thinking...then you got me looking...I have no earthly idea where my HS ring is but while I was looking for it I found my college ring..and didn't even have to get out the metal detector.

I've still got mine. Paid all of $35 for it when I was in the 11th grade. I only wore it for 6 months when I helped my dad build a shop. It was irritating swinging a hammer all day so I took it off and hung it on the brow tine of a deer antler in my bedroom. It is still there to this day.

Walter E. Stebbins-- class of 1979 ---my rather massive ---size 13 --- 10 kt yellow gold with amythest bithstone class ring was given to my son ---my size 13---18 kt yellow gold wedding band that I was married to my ex with went to my daughter --- I wore it from the minute we were married till the minute that I got the actual "papers" that we were legally no longer man and wife in hand--- then I took it off and put it "away"--- later I gave it to my daughter ----Ivan

Still got mine, but my folks couldn't afford gold so I got silver. I am sure the only reason I still have mine is because it looked so dorky on my fingers that I quit wearing it. Those male class rings look like you have any extra knuckle growing on your hand. I think they are ugly.

Ok...I still have mine...Enid High School, Enid, OK...Class of 1969.

Now...of those that still have their rings...the big question is...does it still fit?

Lordy! Mine seems to have shrunk! I can't even get mine on my pinky finger! OMG!
