Clarke County?

Hello!

I bought these 2 CLARKE COUNTY dog tax tags yesterday at a flea market in Eugene Oregon. I also bought a few Klamath County Oregon tags from the same guy ~ but he didn't know which state these CLARKE COUNTY tags came from.

Anyone have an idea how to reseach it? How many Clarke Counties are there in the US?

Some possibilities are Georgia, Virginia, Alabama, Iowa and Mississippi.
There are counties in other states spelled without the e.
Also, Clark County, OR used to be spelled with an e in the 1800's but the e was dropped in the 1900's.

I also just found out that Clark County in Washington dropped their 'E' in the mid 1920's.

Vegas is in Clark County Nevada

I believe Clark County is the Vancouver, Wa. area.
