Clark's Fork, around 6000', is great for fishing but is outside any known gold deposits. Most of the gold in this area is below 4000' and mostly below 3000'.Anyone ever been here? Im looking into prospecting the area... it is on the Clark Fork of the Stanislaus River.
Good info thanks. Do you know of any places worth checking out in around the area that would be better for gold? Where is the best place to find out about elevations and gold concentrations?Clark's Fork, around 6000', is great for fishing but is outside any known gold deposits. Yup you were right , loads of rainbow trout and black sands but no AU. I was in some hot pockets too 10 fishing weights in one nook. If there was gold it'd be there lol. But nothing but nature and trout... not the worst thing.Clark's Fork, around 6000', is great for fishing but is outside any known gold deposits.
