I think M60 7.62, 50 cal would be way larger.

Isn't Coranado not to far away? Camp Pendleton is there too...

In between the two. Coronado is a good 10 miles south (as the crow flys, twice that if you follow the coast line) and Pendleton is at least 30 mile north of this beach.
