Clad Proofs

Great bag!!! I save the proofs that I find.

All proof coins found in rolls are, technically, impaired, as they have been in contact with other coins and have been scratched, abraded, etc. If proof coins are impaired, dealers generally do not want to buy them unless they are silver and have value as bullion coins. I would say that clad proofs found in rolls should be considered curiosities, worth little or nothing over face value. They might make nice token gifts, however; suitable, say, for stocking stuffers at Xmas. Most clad proof halves, even if pristine and still sealed, still have only a nominal numismatic value, as mintages were/are relatively high. Impaired clad proofs are worth even less. I have found many over the past two and a half years. At first, I kept all of them eagerly, but no longer.

Yea i would have to agree but can't seem to part with them.

I was at a trade center today and a coin guy had a bunch. For instance he had an 86S and listed it at $35 in a mylar flip. I asked him if he was interested in purchasing some. he said absolutly not. "i got thousands of them". he said.

I told him I would sell him the same one he has listed for $35 for only $2 and any other year he wanted. He said "No thanks". He don't need any more.

Anyway. I'm keeping mine and dumping only the worst ones I come across.

I agree. I do not keep impaired proofs unless they are Silver.

They may look pretty due to the frost and mirror like but not worth for me.

This is just my opinion

The more I find silver, the more I hate clad. Stinks
