I read in a post somewhere to try and use vinegar and salt to clean up clad. Well, I think it said you shouldn't leave it in the solution toooo long. Me being the type person I am (don't listen to instructions very well) left it in the tumbler overnight..lol Kinda forgot about it until I got up and heard on noise on the back porch..then dawned on me what was happening. Most of the clad came out clean as a bell, but there were a couple of casualties..lol

Those pennies look like my first try at electrolysis.
I used too much amperage for too long a time.
You learn by your mistakes.
Better luck next time.

The shape of the hole looks like Mississippi. Maybe it's part of a new state penny series. Can you make one for Michigan?

I used the same type of solution except I don't have a tumbler. So I threw the coins into a plastic drink bottle with some sand and the solution and it pitted every clad coin in the bottle. I would be VERY careful with this solution and I would NEVER use it on anything of value.

my liver you found it :D
