CLAD and other unfamiliar names

Clad means any composit coin made after 1964 in the US.
Most are junk after 10 to 20 years in the ground, depending
on the soil type in your area.

Wilver is just KirkPA's term for silver of any sort. You are correct on "coppas" (also from the Kirkster himself).

Other terms:

"Zincoln" = a zinc lincoln penny

"LC" = a Large Cent

"TID" and "VDI" = terms for the number "signatures" that appear on many ID detectors

"KGC" = could mean a treasure legend about the Knights of the Golden Circle or it could be slang for a King George Copper

Rosie - Roosevelt dime with high silver content made prior to 1965.
Merc - "Mercury" dime or actually a dime made witih a bust of Liberty on it that resembles the Roman God Mercury.
MDer, - One who metal detects.
GTI, FI, DFX, BH, etc, etc - Initials for varioius brands or models of detectors.
THer - Treasure Hunter.
"Junque", or "Crappe' " - Interesting finds that probably are not worth much monitarily.
Bling - finds made of gold or diamonds or often both.
Caching - sound of cash register representing a valuable find.
Points - Arrow heads, spear points or stones worked on by ancients to use on weapons tips.

Memorial - the pennies that have the Lincoln Memorial on the back of them. They started in 1959.
Buffalo (Buff) - a term used for the Buffalo Nickel.
Walker - a Walking Liberty Half dollar.
SLQ - Standing Liberty Quarter. Dates on these are easily worn off. If you find one with a date, keep it.
SAC or Sac - the gold colored Sacagawea dollar coins
SBA - Susan B. Anthony dollar coins.
IKE - an Eisenhower dollar coin.
Kennedy - a Kennedy half dollar
Franklin - a Franklin half dollar
CRH - Coin Roll Hunting. When you get a lot of rolls of coins to look for wheat pennies, silver quarters, halves, etc.

That is all off the top of my head. If I remember any more, I will add them. Hope it helps.
