Nice Cool Morning! We met up at 5:30 and off to the fields.
It was nice to hunt with someone experienced, I had a great time and learned a lot!
Civilman Got the prize for best find.
I, however won the prize for most junk....I dug every signal...EVERY SIGNAL!!! LOL

Civil is Da Man... how cool you guys got together for a dig... awesome.

Do you think you have a better understanding of your machine now? Lots of digging everything and you will soon develope your techniques to your hunt style and find a comfortable medium.

Hope you guys had a blast!

I checked my machine, Tesoro silver umax, with hits civilman was getting with his Whites and was able to get a much better feel for what I was doing.
YES I had a blast..but the Generals were smiling on civilman and laughing at me. I thought I heard a ghost whisper, "Let's see just how much iron this dork will dig up before he goes crazy!"

Great that you two got to hunt! Be careful what you call junque Ty..you never know what you may have found when hunting a battlefield site! ;)

Congrats! Nana :)

must be something else to hunt an area with that much historical significance! that 3 ringer is a great find!

I TOLD you that CivilMan would find the minies!! Ty, stick with Civil, he is a good guy, and you will learn alot!! Nice going guys, and now you see Ty, that there ARE Civil War relics still waiting to be found there!! ;)

HH

Ty - I know you appreciate the fact that you hunted in one of the most exlusive and coveted areas ever for CW relics...

Men detect their whole lives and dream of an opportunity like that...

Nice going guys. That must have been a lot of fun hunting a CW site. Nice lead find there.

Hey Ty....Had a great time hunting with Ya!!!!I think the fall will be better as you saw,too much greenery. The relic's are there,Sunday was a bad time to hunt at the other farm but we'll hit it soon if you want.Thank's for the company...Nice to dig with another Tn'er.Hope the family outing went well.HH!!

Hey Civilman, I'll go anytime you and I can get together. Just drop me a line or give me a call, or just wait, 'cuz I'll be bugging you again soon. Like next Saturday morning....HINT!

Somone got excited.....LOL, guess you'll be busy next Saturday, too. That place always has lots to give. HH to you both.

Did you need to get special permission to hunt the battlefield? I would think any historic site like that would be off limits!

looks like you guys had a blast hope theres more there for ya to find ! congrats ;)

Ty... I'm afraid not to dig the junk :D, at leat I have something to show! If I came home with nothing I wouldn't get the ::)? :D Nice day to just make friends!

Oh, That is cool. I thought he hunts the battlefield!

Well, many parts of the battlfield are on private property. The Battle of Antietam and South Mountain encompassed about a 10 mile long swath. Much of the old fields that the battle was fought on still exist untainted and are still farmed, so it is easy to get access to many areas that saw action.
