I found what I think is a military button any idea? all this was found a few hundred feet apart

No detail it’s smashed in and shankless but brass

To me it looks like a CW GS button that's been exposed to fire.

It’s a picture frame that is supposed to be like a shadow box thing that I put felt behind and cotton, but I think Michaels

It doers look like a general service button. What threw me was the shape of the neck.

It has a faint c in the center I agree with the others it may have been damaged by fire

If there is a c in the shield that would make it a cavalry button. Unless it is an officers button it would date no later than 1854. Still could have seen civil war use though.
